I have had this girl in my head for a while! Finally, with my new found style, I have been able to draw her! There will be a lot more with her in it in the future!

Baby girl and the beach!

I want this outfit for my future little girls!
I would love to be at the beach right now! Nice and warm with the sand between my toes!

Well I have been drawing up a storm lately! I really want to start selling my stuff for like cards and stuff. Maybe even someday illustrate a children's book. I have even been experimenting with photoshop and it makes it so much easier to color in the images!
Tell me what you think!

I have been inspired by Sarah Jane Studios! She makes the cutest stuff!
I want to start making cards and other stuff to sell! I still have a lot to do to be able to sell my stuff, it's a work in progress! Everyone stay tuned!

Happy Halloween!

Wouldn't these little girls make such great characters in a book. I can't decide what to name them, but it wouldn't surprise me if they pop up in future doodles. And I want this costume! I love all of the colors. Maybe I'll use the idea for my future daughters costumes.
Treak or Treat!

Orem High Reunion Meal Ticket 2

Here's the ticket without the swirls. I really do like it without! You can really see the tiger better. And it even looks nice printed! My first commissioned piece I feel so proud!

Orem High Reunion Meal Ticket

My boss commissioned this for her class reunion. Their school mascot is the Golden Tiger. I had no idea that there was a such thing as a golden tiger,
they really are quite beautiful.
I was so excited to actually get commissioned to do art and I'm getting paid for it! I always feel bad telling people what they should pay... What would you charge for this?

Work in Progress...

"Reese"

This oil painting is of my families puppy, and its almost done I'm just not satisfied with the eyes yet. I will post the finished piece once it's done!

Figure Drawing

Just looking through all of my figure drawings it amazes me that the model would/could hold a position long enough for us to draw it! I mean they do get paid really well but it must get uncomfortable sitting there for 30 minutes at a time. Well I 'm glad they did cause my drawing of the human figure has really grown a lot from that art class.

In this piece I just couldn't get the feet right. Even now as I look at it they still look off! I have some troubles with drawing feet and hands, but I am getting better at it!

I haven't given names to any of my figure drawings. There's not really much you can name so I just don't. This class really helped me to be able to draw the human figure more precisely! But I hope you enjoy them.

Puppers!

"Addie Bell"
This piece is an oil painting I did for my final in my oil painting class (a little redundant I'm sorry). I love painting pictures of my families pets (my mom has put in a request that I paint a picture for all four- one down 3 to go). Addie's doing what she does best, begging for food. Who could resist those large brown eyes cause I know I can't!

Bread and Grapes

"Bread and Grapes"

This is a painting of a still life for my oil painting class midterm. In the original there is a lot more (there's a wine glass, an onion and a couple flowers) but I really didn't like those parts so I cropped it down. I love working in oils!

Blanket

"Stolen"
This piece gets its name from the blanket i drew, the blanket was one of my ex-boyfriends and i had borrowed and kind of sort of kept it... Woops. Anyways this is done in charcoal, and it was for an assignment in my drawing one class.

A sled, a scarf, and a pumpkin still life

"Sled Still Life"

This piece was part of my final for my drawing one class! Man I miss those days of actually have art classes- and going to Snow! Anyways this piece is a still life that my professor set up, and i used charcoal (which is not really a medium i use to often- too hard to erase).
ENJOY!

Parade and Creation

This first piece is called "Animals on Parade". I made it in my drawing two class at Snow College, it's a process called zerox transfer and its really a lot of fun.

This one as well is a zerox transfer and it's called "Creation"
To do a zerox transfer you find a picture, copy it, lay it down on your paper, put this chemical stuff on it (I don't remember what kind), then run it through a printing press. It really is a lot of fun to make, and after it's printed you can paint it (I used water colors).
